I searched for this problem in the forums and did not locate a similar problem.
Some details:
- Operating in cached mode with a Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 account
- I frequently edit messages to remove attachments (on occasion untouched messages also got corrupted)
I suspect the problem has to do with some sort of synchronization problem between the cached and server version of the messages.
Does anyone has it, and even better, has been able to find a fix to stop this behavior, but also to repair the damaged messages?
I found a workaround, albeit a clumsy one. Before a corruption happens, right after I modify the message, I save a copy of it in a placeholder folder, delete the original message and then keep the one in that placeholder folder.
I have not found, though a way to repair already damaged messages (the ones that are in DRAFT / unsent state).
Thanks.
